Mine arrived at the Port of Brunswick on the 16th. Only PDC and a truck ride to Knoxville, TN to go.

Wait, what? I lost the thread ... what is it?

SVR Range Rover IIRC.

You bought another vehicle?
We approve wholeheartedly.

Don't worry, I'm allowing you to let me drive it. ;)

Sold the i8, basically breaking even after 5000 miles and 6 months of ownership. Life dictates I get something I can haul friends around in and the Range Rover bug bit me again. It’s basically a Range Rover Sport + a F-Type R Coupe engine/exhaust/seats.
It’s just the right amount of dumb.

Dang, you drove the crap out of that thing. And that interior oozes sexiness.
Still have the SLS?

Yeah, the SLS is a keeper. Plan on keeping it forever (27k miles on it in three years). It’s probably the last naturally-aspirated engine out of AMG and they’ve said no direct “Gullwing” replacement for a good while. They have also started to appreciate a little. I’ve still got 4 years and 73k miles on the warranty, but with the apparent reliability of the M159 engine I might not ever need it. And I religiously did break in and all of that so mine burns no oil, while some guys are reporting a quart every couple thousand miles (they didn’t do the break-in).

Congrats on getting a SVR! Awesome car!

Are 100,000mi warranties common on cars of that class? I imagine that's some kind of exception

Our Jags/Rovers come in through Baltimore. I wonder why they shipped yours to Brunswick.

‘Nuff said.

Closer to Tennessee I guess. It’s a 7 hour drive to Brunswick vs. 7 hour, 50 minute to Baltimore. Curious how long it usually takes to get through the vehicle prep center, assuming it doesn’t need any recalls/bulletins that may have happened while at sea?

B.T.U. I though you lived in Virginia for some reason. Great to see another Tennessee Oppo/Mega-Jalop.

I do, right across the state line from Knoxville. :D

Oh, gotcha well cool then...
Nonetheless, awesome Rangey. What color did you pick?

Ours usually have a turnaround of a few days. With the SVR we got, I think they expedited it, as it was inspected in the morning and I had it cleaned by the following morning. The inspection itself is supposed to take .8 hours and the cleanup is 1 hour. (that’s what Jag/LR corporate pays us)

Dealer said they are told to expect it Friday, clearbra being applied, then I’m taking her home. :D

Woo. Don’t forget to press the loud button as soon as you get in. It's just as fantastic as you think it is.
